Following the success of last year’s inaugural walk, we are excited to bring our community together once again for the 2026 Unique Abilities Awareness Walk—a celebration of inclusion, belonging, and the diverse strengths that make our community stronger.

About the event
This family-friendly event invites individuals with unique abilities, families, caregivers, educators, employers, advocates, nonprofit organizations, and community members to walk together in support of a more inclusive Sarasota. Through connection, visibility, and shared experiences, we aim to promote awareness, expand opportunities, and foster meaningful community participation for individuals of all abilities.
The walk will begin and conclude at 99 Bottles, our 2026 co-host, and will feature opportunities to connect with local organizations, learn about community resources, celebrate success stories, and strengthen partnerships that support independence, employment, social engagement, and community belonging.
The event also serves as a platform to showcase the power of collaboration among organizations working to create a more inclusive and accessible community for individuals with unique abilities and their families.
